Il a fait un arrêt cardiaque et n'a pu être réanimé...
Le roi de la pop n'est plus. Michael Jackson, 50 ans, est décédé jeudi 25 JUIN 2009 à LOS ANGELES, après avoir fait un arrêt cardiaque. Les secours n'ont pas réussi à le réanimer. Le décès a été prononcé à 14h26 (23h26 en France).
En fin d'après-midi, l'institut médico-légal de Los Angeles a confirmé l'information révélée par TZM.com Un peu plus tôt le Los Angeles Time et l'agence AP avait également cité des services de secours.
Il ne respirait plus en arrivant à l'hôpital
Un responsable des pompiers de Los Angeles a déclaré à CNN que Michael Jackson était bien la patient ayant fait l'objet d'un appel au 911 à 12h26 (21h26 à Paris). Il a fallu environ 10 minutes pour transporter le chanteur depuis la résidence qu'il occupait, dans les collines de Beverly Hills jusqu'à l'hôpital de l'université UCLA.
Selon un médecin interrogé par CNN, en cas d'arrêt cardiaque, 10 minutes est le seuil critique et les chances du survie diminuent grandement après seulement quelques minutes. D'après KTLA, qui cite une employée de l'hôpital, Michael Jackson «ne respirait pas à son arrivée».
